The Association for Independent Living (AFIL) is a 501(c)(3) organization and operates in the Dallas area of North Texas.

AFIL charges residents rent and parents/guardians pay tuition. Much of our  funding is from the generous giving of individuals and foundations.

If you wish to make a donation, note that it is tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

Many employers will match dollar for dollar the amount you donate to AFIL. Please check with your human resources department to see if your employer offers matching funds. In any event, AFIL welcomes donations at any time.
